Reiki is a very old healing art which came to light again in the 19th century in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Christian monk.

"Reiki" is a Japanese word meaning "universal life energy". The space that surrounds us - the universe - is filled with that infinite and inexhaustible energy that flows with high density and intensity through human hands. In the Usui system of Reiki, healing energy is transmitted through the attack of the hands. The therapist becomes the channel through which the universal life energy is channeled. Reiki awakens the human self-healing forces because man can heal himself. The Reiki receiver and Reiki donor experience at the same time "self-medication" as long Reiki flows.

Reiki brings balance between body and emotion and its effects reach all levels: physical, spiritual, emotional and mental. It enhances self healing, strengthens the body and the spirit, relaxes and cleanses the body of toxins, bringing balance between the energy centers of the body and generally restores harmony in human existence flowing in unlimited quantities.
